"Next Blog" Game

My friend Bossy, the creator of games, made up this fun little one. Click "Next Blog" and see what comes up. I started my game from Bossy's site.

1. Something in Spanish with no title.
2. James Riven Boogel (I think in German).
3. The Business Boom
4. The Lucky Entrepreneur (looked just like "The Business Boom").
5. The Observer (finally a real blog in English...though it was the Queen's English!).
6. Me Posts (also in Spanish and very crazy with pics of Winnie the Pooh characters and finally a tiny newborn baby).

After my international escapade from Bossy's site, I thought I'd try again from my own.

1. Ski On Throughput (been a blogger since 2005).
2. Aidan (I think French...pretty sure I saw "Montreal" somewhere).
3. Zippy Hendirez 3.0 (It had a Dilbert Cartoon)
4. Curta O Samba (Portuguese...which I figured out before I saw Rio de Janeiro).
5. The Barefoot Bum (kinda political)
6. Lp Libertad Popular (another Spanish one).

I don't think I knew blogging was a world-wide as it is. Now I am sure to be nervous as people all over the world start playing "Next Blog" and some Ukrainian blogger lands on "My Day To Shine" and wonders, "Why?"

Happy Valentine's Day

When I was in high school, I hated Valentine's Day. Every Valentine's Day the school office would get flooded with bouquets of flowers for dumb little teenage girls from their even dumber little teenage boyfriends. Then to make matters worse, throughout the day notes from the office would filter through classes informing those dorky girls of their treasure waiting with the secretaries.

Do I even need to say that I was never one of those pathetic teens?

My senior year I finally had a boyfriend on Valentine's Day. Only I was on a stupid school trip and wasn't even around for the flower flood.

This Valentine memory has scarred me. It's tough enough having to live through all of the commercials and television shows but to be mocked year after year is really more than a girl needs.

This is how I have lived virtually every love holiday...until last year.

Last Valentine's Day I was mindlessly typing at my desk when a call came from the office. There was something for me at the front desk. I went, very unsuspecting, and found the loveliest arrangement of orange roses waiting with a tiny florist card from the Jazz Guy. I took them to my office and cried. I felt so special.

This year I am finding myself waiting for another message from the office.

Spaghettios

There may be little more that makes me feel better than a nice bowl of Spaghettios. When I was a little kid and sick, all I wanted was Spaghettios. I was never a fan of Chicken Noodle Soup and Spaghettios were my comfort food. I always asked for them if I didn’t feel well. My momma used to say that opening the can of pasta in sauce made her want to vomit yet those were just the things I wanted.

Even as an adult I find that if I don’t feel well, I want Spaghettios. They just make life better. I’m not sure if they draw me back to a more simpler time, where I didn’t have so much responsibility, or if I just really love the taste. Sometimes I think I’m too old for Spaghettios but I’m not sure about life without them. So for now I’ll just open a can, pop it in the microwave, and enjoy little o’s in cheese flavored tomato sauce.
